Please join the Middle Eastern Law Students Association (MELSA) in welcoming Professor Samar Ali (JD’06, BS’03), expert on the intersection of national security and international economic development, for a discussion concerning the role of law in international diplomacy. Professor Ali has worked in national security and international economic development at the White House, the South African Supreme Court, the state of Tennessee, and as an attorney. She is currently international counsel at Bass Berry & Sims. Recently, the World Economic Forum appointed Professor Ali to its Young Global Leaders Class of 2017. Lunch will be provided.

Visitors should park in the Terrace Place Garage, spaces 41-92, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Terrace Place, or the Wesley Place Garage, spaces 52-170, at the corner of 21st Ave. South and Scarritt Place. Parking costs range from $4.00 to $12.00 at these garages. Both are within walking distance of the law school.
