Did you know…
In Wilson County alone there are:
More than 175 children in the foster care system
More than 40 children awaiting forever homes because their parents have had their parental rights terminated
Only 58 available homes willing to care for these children
These statistics mean that most of the children entering Wilson County’s foster care system are served in neighboring counties due to the lack of available homes.
If you’ve ever been interested in fostering a child or would like to know more about the foster care system, please join us and our foster care partner, Monroe Harding, for an informational meeting during Care Night on Tuesday, February 13 at 6:30 pm. With 125 years of experience, Monroe Harding has continually adapted to meet the needs of more than 16,000 abused, abandoned, or neglected children who are in, or transitioning out of, state custody. We are thrilled to be working with them.
Dinner will be served at 5:30. Childcare available.
Please contact Allison Vines, Director of Care, for more information.
