7:00-7:15: Artist Talk
7:15--7;30: F.A.Q.'s and P's and Q's
My name is Kristen Chapman Gibbons and I am a storyteller in Nashville. Through THRIVE funding, with Metro Arts, and in partnership with Tennessee Equality Project, I am bringing my mobile recording tent, Story Booth Nashville to record your stories.
From Jan 26-March 15, I'm hosting several community engagement events, in different parts of the city, where I'll be recording around the theme: “Working It Out: Stories of the LGBTQ Community At Work." If you are unable to make the community engagement events, you can email your text to [email protected]
or schedule an individual interview.
Participants must reside in Davidson County, have to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community, and have a true story about employment. Experiences can be about a challenge at work, starting your own business, a funny experience, a surprising story...in other words, I am interested in all kinds of stories.
After recording interviews, nine people will be selected to share their stories at a storytelling showcase on March 30th at abrasiveMedia. They will participate in a story workshop and be paid for participating.
All audio will be archived by Tennessee Equality Project and some of it will be used in my True Stories Let Loose podcast.
