in the Fireside Room
(A soup and sandwich lunch will be provided in Room A following the 11 a.m. service.)
You may notice that our topic has changed. We are responding to an ongoing discussion in the congregation about the use of the terms “white supremacy” and we thought this video examined why using the term is important in a very in-depth way. We hope you will join us and join the conversation.
“Difficult Conversations: Deconstructing Whiteness” a video and panel discussion about the inter- and intra-personal pillars of whiteness. We’ll view a video from anti-racist scholar and facilitator, Dr. Robin Di Angelo, who examines the communal and psychological props of whiteness, as well as how we develop resilience in conversations about race. This event is perfect for those looking to deepen their commitment to anti-racist allyship, and there will a sandwich-bar lunch provided following the service for all who would like to stay. Childcare will be provided.
Please stick around and join us for lunch and a great discussion!
