Give yourself permission to take the time to relax & renew with mellow music and the slow, gentle movements of Tai Chi Qigong practice.
Tai chi qigong is a series of slow, intentional movements that still the mind, relax and renew the body and spirit. The benefit of tai chi qigong is in the practice. Thus one «teaches» ones body to relax and move in balance, opening up to the flow of universal energy within and without.
I teach this as a way of relaxing and many of the movements can be incorporated into ones day to day life.
Truly a «meditation in motion,» we will be working on the first 6 movements of the short form of Sun Style Tai Chi (total form is 37 movements). We will learn how to properly shift weight and move without stressing ones hips and knees. We will also incorporate one of the ancient «animal frolics» into our practice.
Class will meet Mondays at 6pm for 1 hour. Doors will open at 5:45 for you to come in and settle.
A minimum of 8 paid students will be required for me to schedule and teach this class.

For those who wish to continue classes, learn and practice the entire form, we will be continuing with a second series of 6 classes to learn and practice additional movements. The entire short form consists of 39 movements.
Jani became certified and began teaching this form of Tai Chi and Qigong in 2006. She has taught in Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware, with students ranging in age from 6 years old to 87 years old. «I knew as soon as I saw this type of Tai Chi that it could benefit everyone. It is easy to learn and the benefits of relaxing and focusing on slow intentional movements are absolutely amazing! In addition to the physical benefits, students quickly become aware of when and where they are tensing up. Tai Chi and Qigong give them the tools to let go of that tension and stress while enhancing the natural flow of universal life force energy within and without their body.»
