Zero Stigma, Zero Discrimination: The Doors of the Church ARE Open
As part of the church’s 20th Anniversary celebration and our ongoing commitment to bring healing to a broken world, The Ray of Hope Church joins hands and hearts with the international community in recognizing World AIDS Day on Friday, December 1st. Join us for a transformative evening of using Christian love to help break the stigma around HIV/AIDS.
Our wonderful night will be highlighted by keynote speaker and special guest Bishop Yvette Flunder of the City of Refuge — of Oakland, CA. The foremost voice in the campaign to end the stigma against those affected with HIV/AIDS, we are honored to have Bishop Flunder join us! World AIDS Day allows us the opportunity as an African American church to speak to the continued pain and stigma associated with HIV and AIDS, and mourn the tremendous number of black lives lost because of this pandemic in our community.
The Ray is happy to partner the evening of December 1st with Vanderbilt Health Center, Meharry Project COPE, Metro Human Relations, MyHouse, MICTAN First Response Center, and many others to provide event support, HIV/AIDS resources and testing on site at the church.
Join us at The Ray of Hope Church this World AIDS Day as we become the change we want to see! *Parents, childcare will be provided.
