DATE CHANGED DUE TO WEATHER!!!
ZOO DAY WILL NOW BE 10/22/2017!!!
REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED. we look forwad to see ing all who registered on 10/22!
Our families will again enjoy a wonderful picnic lunch, animal encounter and facepainting/ at the pavillion as we have done in the past. Thanks to our friends at the Zoo, there will be animal encounters throughout the Zoo that day, along with 16 co-branded signs that share facts about Down syndrome. DSAMT will have an information table and have handouts for all Zoo guests, too.
This event has become one of our most popular family activites over the past few years, but it is also our most expensive. When families register and then aren't able to attend, we unfortunately are still charged. So to be good stewards of our donors' contributions we are implementing a small fee. All individuals with Down syndrome will be free, as always, as will be anyone under 3. Immediate family members will be $5 each — up to 2 caregivers, 4 grandparents and 4 siblings. Anyone else is welcome to join us for $32 for adults or $30 for children, which includes parking, admission to the Zoo, all activities and the hot catered lunch. Note Buddy Walk teams who earn $500 by October 1 get 4 free tickets!
You can pick up your wristbands starting at 9am at the Zoo. Lunch will be served at the Pavillion from 12-2PM, with animal encounter & facepainting during that time.
