Japanese Moon Viewing Celebration
Sunday, October 8
4pm — 9pm
Tsukimi, or moon viewing, is a Japanese tradition which began over a thousand years ago. Tsukimi is typically celebrated by meeting outdoors to enjoy the sight of the brightly shining full moon. The full moon is considered particularly beautiful in autumn, when the air is crisp and the summer heat has subsided.
Join us for a moonlit evening in the Cheekwood fall gardens that will feature traditional tea ceremony demonstrations, interactive activities and lantern-lit tours celebrating Japanese art and gardens
The event is included with general admission or Cheekwood membership.
Japanese Moon Viewing is presented by Nissan.
